1 Timothy 4:12

NRSV translation. Adapt this if you prefer a different version.

Let no one despise your youth, but set the believers an example in speech and conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.

When learning lists it is reasonable to change the order of words in order to make a mnemonic (unless the order is clearly critical).

I hang this verse on a young man called Nolan Spider who has got a letter about his passion for insects and butterflies etc. I have deliberately overdone the word association technique just to highlight the possibilities. Remember these little ‘stories’ are like scaffolding. Eventually you can discard the story because the text will have become reliable in your memory. You might return to the story line in order to remember the verse after a significant time period.
